BTA took the necessary measures in connection with the accident at the Mingachevir TPP substation

Onthe night of 2 to 3 July, as a result of the accident at the Mingachevir TPP substation,the Baku Transport Agency took the necessary measures to reduce the possiblenegative impact due to the situation that arose in the city's power supply andtransport system, including passenger transport and road traffic management.The main focus was on preventing problems that could arise in passengertransportation on the morning of July 3. Coordination work was established withthe Baku Subway. Due to the situation with electricity supply, the number ofvehicles on the route line towards the "Autovokzal" metro station wasincreased, due to the fact that it did not work. To eliminate the possiblelarge congestion of passengers, buses on the route lines 142 and 91 going tothe "Autovokzal" metro station from Sumgayit and surrounding areaswill be sent to the "Memar Ajami" metro station, and buses on theroute lines 158 and 130 are directed to the "January 20" station,until the "Autovokzal" station will not resume work.

Thenecessary steps were taken to ensure normal and safe traffic on the roads ofthe capital. As a result of urgent measures, road crossings with traffic lightswere taken under surveillance. The traffic lights were restored at all possiblepoints. Work is under way to repair the rest.

TheBaku Transport Agency recommends drivers to be extremely cautious and attentiveto traffic safety, considering that traffic lights do not function in somestreets and avenues.
